This flatline system was
designed and installed for a large office furniture manufacturer
in the Chicago area. The finish was a 100% solids UV stain
and clear coat with a three coat process. Parts were loaded
on the infeed conveyor passing through the UV stain application,
automatic stain wiper, UV curing chamber and inline sander.
Parts continued on into UV sealer application, automatic
wiper, UV curing chamber, and inline sander. Parts then
passed through a panel cleaner, UV topcoat application,
65’ convection oven to allow topcoat to flow out,
and UV curing chamber then unloaded. The above process from
raw to finished goods was 21 minutes.
